OPI Nail Envy

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Hello everyone, I recently made the mistake of removing my acrylic nails myself and now I'm full of regret and desperately trying to nurse them back to life. I'm sure we've all done it but I didn't think much about it before I soaked them in nail varnish remover and peeled them off - gross I know. Not only do I have dry hands and cuticles, but my nails are soft and pretty delicate at the moment. I decided to give the OPI Nail Envy a whirl since it gets a lot of love.

I wouldn't say the difference in my nails is dramatic but they're certainly better than they've been in the past when I've decided to take my nails off at home. I find when I apply this to my nails, it kind of hardens them up a bit so wether I'm wearing this alone or using it as a base coat my nails seem to hold up a little better than without it.

Too Faced 'Melted Peony' Melted Lipstick

Monday, April 25, 2016

Hey everyone, the liquid lip trend is still going strong and slowly but surely I'm getting to try a few of the favourites that seem to be blessing the blogging world. Since everyone seems to love the Too Faced offering, I thought it was about time I investigated what all the hype is about.

Current Makeup Bag Staples

Friday, April 22, 2016

Hello everyone, I thought I'd do a little round up post today as I've been posting a lot of reviews so I thought it might be a good idea to break things up a little! I thought I'd chat about the things that have literally been in my makeup bag forever, the things I don't have any intention of changing any time soon. We all have the products we love and then forget about, but these lot have been around in my life for quite some time now.

First up, the Mac Prep + Prime Skin Base has been my primer of choice for a good while now. In fact since I first purchased it, I actually haven't used anything else!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

Hello everyone, I may or may not have discovered a new lip favourite and I thought it would only be right to share it with you all. Liquid lipsticks seem to be a huge trend right now and if I'm honest I haven't ventured out and tried too many, I have pretty dry lips so I always have to make cautious decisions with what I put on my lips. When I swatched a few of these in my local Superdrug I was pleasantly surprised and took one home.

Vichy Dermablend*

Saturday, April 16, 2016

Hello everyone, I hope you're all having a fabulous day! Today I wanted to have a chat about some new products I've been trying over the past few weeks. As you may already know, I've been fighting with acne since the end of last year and now that its settled down I'm still struggling with a little scarring here and there. When Vichy asked if I wanted to try a few of their products I was so excited as I have been wanting to try their foundation for the longest time.

I knew this foundation was going to be super high coverage but its completely different from what I was expecting. I had it in my mind that it was going to be horrible to blend and that it probably wouldn't sit well on my skin. I can tell you now, I was so wrong. I don't know why I've always had that impression of full coverage products but I'm glad I have been proven wrong.

Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint

Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Hello everyone, its been a while. I find myself saying that more often than not these days and its not because I don't like blogging its because I think I've just needed a good old internet break. Sorry things have been a little patchy in terms of blog posts over the past little while but I'm going to try my hardest to keep on track with things now that I've got a little more time off work. Since its been a while I thought I'd take the time to talk about something I've genuinely been loving since I tried it.

The Velvet Matte Skin Tint from Nars is something that I'm pretty sure every blogger has picked up and given a go since its release. Initially there were a lot of mixed reviews but personally I knew it was going to be right up my alley. As someone with combination skin I'm always looking for something thats actually going to stay on my face throughout the day, and this manages to do just that. It doesn't cling to any of my dry patches and manages to keep itself in place on my oily t-zone.
