Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Super Self-Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask!

Saturday, May 31, 2014

Oooh kooky here, a spare 5 minutes! Which means only one thing right? A review for you guys! Again, I'm sorry I won't be posting frequently right now, coursework is taking over my life and I feel like I barely have a spare moment to breathe let alone anything else! However, today we've got a skin saviour for particularly stressful times like these..

This new face mask from Soap & Glory was circling my blog feed a little while ago with nothing but good reviews left, right and centre. Of course, being the beauty hoarder and face mask lover than I am I picked it up. Its kind of a bit weird on first trial but after a couple of uses it all makes sense. When you apply the mask it has a thick grainy kind of texture, almost like a thick face scrub. When you rub it into your skin (as directed) it turns a blue colour and beings to heat up on your face. I work it in for about 30-45 seconds until I feel it start to warm up and then I leave it for around 10 minutes to let it do its magic. I've never used a heated mask before which is probably why I found it a bit weird at first but I've come to enjoy the hot, tingling sensation it creates over my skin. It really feels like its getting deep down into the pores and cleaning them out. When I remove this, its work really shows. My skin is always left blackhead clear and clogged pores a non-existent. It somehow manages to just clean all the dirt out and leave the face super clean, the great this is, it does all this without drying out my face or causing any kind of irritation which is fabulous! If I'm having a bad skin day or just feeling a bit down I apply this in the evening and wash it off with a sigh of relief that my skin looks presentable again! If you suffer from clogged pores like I do, I highly recommend you give it a go. I've noticed when my pores are less blocked up my skin is less oily too - bonus!

A Little Update // Instagram!

Saturday, May 24, 2014

You might be asking yourself where have I been lately? I've been doing a lot of college work unfortunately. Its kind of frustrating that we've got so much to do before the end of term. I guess it is my last year at college and end of year show looming along side looking for full time employment has pretty much been taking up all my time. Don't worry though I'm not abandoning my blog! However, over the nest 2-3 weeks the posts might be a little thin, but I'll do my best to squeeze in the time whenever I can. If I don't have any posts up I recommend checking out my Instagram to see what I'm up to or heading over to my YouTube channel. You'll find an array of things on my Instagram from college work, to makeup hauls and even sneaky pictures of me and my other half. Anyways I just wanted to give a little heads up on what I'm up to and hopefully you guys are all still here with me. I'll try get a review or something up in the next few days but I just can't promise the posts will be regular until after my end of year show! See you all soon!

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm!

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

I'm not gonna lie, but sometimes washing my face at night is a serious chore. I love the feeling of a clean face but y'know when its late and you're tired and you just want to get into bed? This cleanser is a saviour. Let me explain..

This is the first balm style cleanser I've tried and I'm genuinely converted all together, the balm consistency makes it perfect for removing all traces of makeup and giving the face a good clean all at the same time. Personally, I can't use foaming cleansers on my skin as they make it feel so tight and horrible as well as drying out my face so badly. I always usually use a cream or oil based cleanser but lately this has been my choice - simply because it does everything in one. This cleanser is completely scent free and has a balm to oil consistency which I think would be perfect for all skin types - even sensitive skins. I have combination skin which is quite oily in the t-zone and I've had no problems with this. I simply take a little blob of between my fingers and massage it all over my skin, even over my eye makeup and it literally removes everything. It takes no time at all and a quick swipe over with a warm muslin cloth to remove the cleanser leaves my skin completely clean with no traces of anything! Its love and it's my new favourite for those lazy nights (and most other nights too).

Spring Get Ready With Me! | YouTube

Monday, May 12, 2014

As promised I'm back with another YouTube video for you all! This time I show you how I wear nude eyes and plum lips for the spring time - perhaps not the obvious choice of lip colour but I think it compliments my skin tone well and brightens my face.

Let me know what you think of this video in the comments below, and if you have any suggestions for videos I could make in the future then let me know about those too! Thanks.

MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tints!

Saturday, May 10, 2014

Missed me? I know, I've been gone a while on here but not to panic anymore! I'm back with a beauty review and have a YouTube video coming your way in the next few days too! I recently took a trip to London with college and I think I caught a nasty flu bug from the tube, I've been feeling pretty rubbish and my blog seriously got neglected while I was feeling sorry for myself. I might do a post about my trip to London if anyone's interested, let me know in the comments if thats something you'd like to read!

I'm talking to you today about a product that I've been using non stop over the past week or so, the MUA Colour Blast Eyeshadow Tints really impressed me. They're a cream eyeshadow in the form of a handy chubby pencil that rolls up. This is great as I absolutely hate having to sharpen things! The product itself is a really nice cream eyeshadow that isn't too creamy, intact I find them a little too hard to apply straight to the eyelid as they tend to drag it about a bit which isn't great. However when you warm some of this up on your finger before applying to the eye area it works really well. What I like most is that you can wear these on their own, blend colours together or use them as a base for other eyeshadows! The pigmentation is really there and I think I'll be picking up a few more colours. MUA is a great brand which hasn't disappointed me so far - especially in the price region! The colours I have are 'Stay' which is the lighter shade and 'Bring It Back' which is the gorgeous warm, shimmery bronze.
